By using VALU Recognition ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

VALU Recognition is a private, positive recognition service that allows users to send values-based recognition messages to others via email. The Service is designed to be:

  • Private by default
  • Positive only
  • Free from public profiles or rankings

3. User Conduct

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Use the Service only for positive, constructive recognition
  • Not send abusive, harassing, or inappropriate content
  • Not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Not use the Service for spam or commercial solicitation
  • Not attempt to circumvent rate limits or safety controls

4. Content Guidelines

Messages sent through the Service must not contain:

  • Profanity, hate speech, or discriminatory language
  • Sexual or explicit content
  • Threats or harassment
  • Personal data of third parties without consent
  • Malicious links or code

We reserve the right to filter, modify, or reject content that violates these guidelines.

5. Rate Limits

To prevent abuse, the following limits apply:

  • 5 recognitions per sender per day
  • 10 recognitions per IP address per hour

6. Email Verification

First-time senders must verify their email address via a magic link before their recognition is delivered. This helps prevent impersonation and abuse.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Infonote Datasystems Limited. You retain ownership of the messages you create but grant us a licence to transmit and display them as part of the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for users who violate these Terms or engage in abusive behaviour.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
